The Perfect Pen Pot

The Perfect Pen Pot
I like to keep my pens on my desk in a lovely colourful mug. I often find though that for lidless pens the ink leaks, so I have discovered that putting tissue paper at the bottom of your mug avoids the mess of inky hands later on.

Aga Tip

Aga Tip
If you’re lucky enough to have an aga and find that the hot plate is sometimes too hot, keep a handy 10p coin to slip under the pot. This raises it up a bit, thus reducing the heat slightly.

Candle Care

Candle Care
Trim your wicks. Take care of your candles and trim the wicks before re-lighting to reduce the amount of carbon and black smoke produced. It also produces a steadier flame. Its also a good idea to keep them out of the draught as they will last longer and drip less.

Cooking with Eggs

Cooking with Eggs
