Fragrant ginger, zingy lemon, sweet honey and health-giving turmeric combine to make a soothing and uplifting drink for any time of day.

Makes one drink

Half a lemon
5 slices fresh ginger root, as thin as a penny
2 slices fresh turmeric root, as thick as a pound coin
1 heaped teaspoon honey

 

Boil the kettle and squeeze the juice of the lemon into a mug. Drop the lemon half in and add the ginger, turmeric and honey.

Fill the mug with boiling water, stir and allow to sit for 3 minutes.

Sip slowly and enjoy!
