Salthrop House
We are very pleased to announce that following numerous requests from
all over the world, Salthrop House can now be booked for very special
events, including hosting weddings.
Salthrop is a beautiful 200-year-old Manor House set a few miles from
the World Heritage sites of Avebury stones, Silbury Hill and West
Kennet Long Barrow.
The 77 acre grounds consist of woodlands, wild meadows and animal
grazing pasture. The property is abundant with life from the wild deer
that roam the woodlands and meadows, to the flock of rare breed sheep
and lambs that graze the lush pastures around the house. There is also
a bountiful kitchen garden of seasonal fruit and vegetables combined
with an ornamental glasshouse of pelargoniums.
The gardens are always evolving and developing with each season so the
gardens always give something a little special.
The house has 8 wonderful double bedrooms with 5 bathrooms which can
be used for shoots. A completely magnificent dining room and two
beautifully appointed reception rooms. The glasshouse can also be
prepared to host lunch or dinner parties.
It is almost impossible to describe how magical it is to visit and
stay at Salthrop House. The combination of the location, the heritage
and Sophie Conran’s exquisite taste makes this a truly exceptional and
unique experience.
Sophie is making a limited number of days available during the year.
