A Salthrop is built around a hardwood frame with a fish-mouth sprung seat platform for balanced support. The cushions combine feather and foam, so they feel luxurious, hold their shape and are very easy to maintain. Each sofa is made in Lancashire by trusted craftspeople, with organic striped fabric woven in Yorkshire.

Natural materials behave very differently from the man-made foam in most sofas, so plump the cushions the way you would a feather bed pillow. Plumping moves the feathers around and pushes fresh air between them, which keeps the cushions comfortable. Wash your covers at 30 degrees with a gentle fabric detergent, and wash every piece equally, because colour will likely fade a little each time you clean them.
